چکیده :
This study investigates the effectiveness of an AI-based platform integrated with a flipped classroom model to enhance translation skills among undergraduate students focus on the course of study: "Translating Cultural Expressions" conducted at Jahrom University during the second semester of 1402-1403, the research employs a mixed-methods approach with a quasi-experimental design, incorporating pre- and post-intervention assessments using the Translation Competence Acquisition Questionnaire (TCAQ), semi-structured interviews, and classroom observations. The participants included 38 students from Jahrom University's Translation Studies department, with 22 in the experimental group experiencing the AI-based flipped classroom model and 16 in the control group receiving traditional instruction. Grounded in social constructivism (Vygotsky, 1978) and its application to translator training (Kiraly, 2014), this study underscores the importance of social interaction and collaborative learning in developing translation competence. The AI-based flipped classroom model is designed to provide scaffolded learning, offering targeted support that gradually decreases as students' proficiency increases. The study aims to evaluate the impact on student engagement, translation accuracy, and cultural awareness, providing valuable insights into the potential of this innovative approach to revolutionize translator education. Findings are expected to demonstrate significant improvements in students' ability to translate idioms and cultural references, highlighting the benefits of integrating AI technology within the flipped classroom framework.
